The contracting business
The business is located near Kettinge in eastern Lolland. It was started by Kurt Ludvigsen, and in 2017 his son Simon Ludvigsen took over. Today, slurry and sugar beet fill most of the calendar. In the beet, the contractor handles the whole job from sowing to delivery at the factory, and when the beet has to come out, the machines run around the clock.
Pea harvesting used to be a large part of the business, but it stopped in 2022, when pea production in Denmark closed down. Since then the contractor has moved into forestry work with its own forwarder and chippers.
FarmBackup gives us the overview and the control over all the parts that hold the business together from day to day. If people ask, we recommend FarmBackup Task. It makes the overview and the working day markedly better.
The situation before FarmBackup
Before FarmBackup, Døllefjelde used another system for handling job sheets and payroll. Over time the business grew, and they needed features and better usability that the system they had at the time could not offer.
Why they chose FarmBackup
Døllefjelde was shown FarmBackup Task and could quickly see that it was a clear improvement compared with the system they had at the time. Just as important were the people behind it. From the start, Døllefjelde had a good relationship with the FarmBackup team, who are always ready to help and give good support without a long wait.

Over the years, the contractor has repeatedly had requests for new features and improvements that mattered to them. FarmBackup listens and does what it can to get them built within a reasonable time. And when the new features arrive, they are well thought through and easy to use. That is a large part of the reason Døllefjelde has stayed.
Changing systems always takes a bit of a run-up, of course, but the contractor has in no way regretted it.
How Døllefjelde uses FarmBackup Task day to day
Scheduling job sheets in the calendar view. The whole job is run from the calendar view. When a client rings with a job, the office creates a job sheet and schedules it in the calendar. From there it is assigned to an operator, and the job lands straight on that operator's to-do list in the app.
An easy-to-use app for job sheets. The crew records their job sheets in a clear app with the information needed for payroll and invoicing.
An overview of the client's paddocks from the app. The client's paddocks are pulled in simply by entering the CVR number. The operator can see the paddock boundary, the crop, the area in hectares and the paddock number, and get directions to the paddock via Google Maps.
One overview of payroll. The office gets a payroll overview where the crew's hours are automatically distributed across the right pay rates, for example ordinary hours and overtime.
From job sheet to invoice in e-conomic. The office gathers the job sheets that are to be invoiced and sends them straight to e-conomic. There they become a draft invoice, ready to be sent to the client.
No breakdown or damage to the machines gets forgotten. The crew reports breakdowns and damage to the machines directly in the app. The workshop has every report on one list and marks them as done once they have been dealt with.
Control of the straw from paddock to store. During the busy harvest it used to be hard to coordinate the straw crew. Now it all happens on one map, which both the office and the straw crew use on the computer and in the app. The map shows the status of every step from harvest to cartage, so everyone has the overview. The stores are on the map too, so they can always see how many bales of each type are standing at each store. At the same time, the office knows exactly what has to be invoiced to each client once the harvest is over.
